Sonu Raj, a man from Bihar, won hearts on social media after his 12,000-km cycle journey with his pet dog, Charlie, went viral on social media. Sonu’s paw-dorable relationship with Charlie has netizens gushing over the kind of unconditional love only a human and their dog can share.
Sonu documented his cycle journey across India with his furry friend. He said he had been travelling for 11 months, and had travelled more than 12,000 km, including Rameswaram, Kedarnath and Badrinath.
He revealed that his “cute” Charlie was adopted in Uttar Pradesh. Charlie was involved in an accident and Sonu took him to a hospital for treatment, and they have been companions ever since. Sonu said Charlie has never left his side since being rescued.
“Reposting this beautiful moment again… iss memory ko main khona nahi chahta tha. Yeh sirf ek video nahi hai, meri aur Charlie ki journey ka ek hissa hai – pyaar, dosti aur safar ka. (I didn’t want to lose this memory. This isn’t just a video — it’s a part of mine and Charlie’s journey — of love, friendship, and the road we’ve travelled together),” he wrote in the caption.
The video has gained widespread attention on social media, with over 500,000 likes on Instagram. People were touched by the bond between Sonu and Charlie and flooded the comments to praise him.
“Charlie living the dream life of many!” a user commented. Another person wrote, “All the best dost. Bas Charlie ka khayal rakhna.”
