
CSIR UGC NET June 2025 Exam Dates: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the schedule for the Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2025 examination. According to the notification issued, the CSIR UGC NET 2025 exam will be conducted on a single day. The notice also clarifies that the exam-city slips will be released 8 to 10 days prior to te examination date. Once issued, candidates registered to appear will be able to check on the official website at csirnet.nta.ac.in.
The notice states that the CSIR UGC NET exam, which serves as the eligibility test for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), appointment as Assistant Professor, and admission to PhD programmes in Indian universities and colleges, will be conducted on July 28, 2025.
The exam, which will now be held on a single day for all five subjects, was revised in response to numerous candidate requests citing a scheduling conflict with the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) 2024, set for July 26 and 27

The exam will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode across the country. All five subjects listed below will be examined on the same date:
Mathematical Sciences
Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences
Chemical Sciences
Life Sciences
Physical Sciences
The NTA also informed that candidates will receive information about their exam city through the Advance City Intimation Slip, which will be issued 8–10 days before the exam on the official website.
The UGC CSIR NET is conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode and consists of three parts: Part A — General Aptitude, Part B — subject-specific MCQs, and Part C — higher-order analytical questions.
The total paper carries 200 marks, and candidates must complete it in 3 hours. Negative marking applies, typically 25% per incorrect answer, though it may vary slightly by section and subject.
