Anupam Kher gets lost in a jungle on the way to Prabhas’ film shoot in Hyderabad and climbs a wall to reach the location.
Veteran actor Anupam Kher found himself in a hilarious situation while shooting for his upcoming film with Prabhas in Hyderabad. The 70-year-old shared a reel revealing how his driver got lost, forcing him to trek through a jungle and climb a wall to reach the set. “Kya kya karna padhta hai,” the actor quipped, leaving fans amused.
Veteran actor Anupam Kher, known for his cinematic versatility and good-humoured spirit, found himself in quite the unexpected adventure while shooting for his upcoming film with Prabhas in Hyderabad. On Saturday, the 70-year-old actor shared a hilarious reel on social media that documented his rather unorthodox journey to the set—one that involved a jungle, a stuck car, and scaling a wall.
In the video, Kher explains how his driver took a wrong turn on the way to the film’s location. Instead of arriving at the designated entry point, they ended up in the middle of a dense, forested area. “Aaj mera driver yaha par film ki shooting ke liye rasta bhul gaya, dekho jungle mein le aaya. Shooting meri uss taraf hai,” he says, gesturing to the other side of a wall while laughing at the absurdity of the situation.
With the car unable to reverse due to the tight space, the crew had to improvise. “Ab jo unit ke baaki log hai, woh mujhe jungle se sidiyon pe chadhake leke jayenge,” Kher adds, chuckling as he walks toward the makeshift path.
He captioned the video, “इस तरफ़ से उस तरफ़! In my 40 years of cinema journey I have entered my shooting locations through different ways! But today was not only unique but quite comical too. Shooting in Hyderabad for #Prabhas starrer untitled film, my driver decided to be adventurous. Soon we entered a jungle kind of a place and then hit a dead end. Car couldn’t be reversed! Naturally, the internet had a field day. Comments flooded in with humorous comparisons and heartfelt praise. “Reminds me of that stair scene from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai,” one user joked. Another wrote, “From playing an old man in your first movie to pulling off jungle stunts at 70—what a legend, sir. Jai ho!”
The currently untitled film, reportedly titled Fauji, is being directed by Hanu Raghavapudi and stars Prabhas alongside Anupam Kher in pivotal roles. While not much is known about the plot, Kher’s adventurous set diary has already given fans something to smile about.
With every new reel, Anupam Kher continues to prove that age is just a number—and that behind every legend is a great story, even if it starts with getting lost in the woods.
