India fast bowler Mohammed Siraj paid tribute to Diogo Jota by gesturing his jersey number ‘20’ during the third Test against England at the Lord’s on Friday.
Portugal and Liverpool footballer Jota, 28, and his brother Andre Silva recently died in a car crash in northern Spain.
Siraj, after claiming the wicket of England wicketkeeper Jamie Smith, did the gesture by making a two and zero signal from his hand, and finished by looking up in the sky.
Siraj picked up two wickets while Jasprit Bumrah registered a five-wicket haul as India bowled out England for 387 on day two of the Test. Joe Root top scored for England, making 104 runs.
