
IAF Agniveer Vayu Recruitment 2025: The Indian Air Force (IAF) has started the application process for Agniveer Vayu positions under the Agnipath scheme. Eligible candidates can apply online from today (July 11, 2025) till July 31, 2025, through the official website agnipathvayu.cdac.in. The opportunity is for four years only for unmarried males and females. The selection test will be conducted from September 25 onwards.
Candidates must undertake not to marry during the four-year engagement period. As stated in the notification, marrying during this period will lead to discharge from service.
Female candidates must additionally undertake not to get pregnant during the four-year engagement period. Pregnancy will result in discharge from service and debarment from selection into the regular cadre.
IAF Agniveer Vayu Recruitment 2025: Eligibility
Candidates born between July 2 2005, and January 2, 2009 (both dates inclusive) are eligible to apply. The validity of the results is till 02/2026. To qualify for eligibility, science stream candidates must meet the following criteria:
–Class 12 (10+2) with Mathematics, Physics, and English from a recognised board, with at least 50 per cent marks overall and 50 per cent in English
–Or, a three-year Engineering Diploma in specific streams (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automobile, Computer Science, Instrumentation Technology, or Information Technology) with 50% marks and English as a subject.
To qualify for eligibility, non-science stream candidates must meet the following criteria:

–For non-science stream candidates, the eligibility criteria include passing Class 12 in any stream with a minimum of 50 per cent marks overall and 50 per cent in English
–OR completing a two-year vocational course with at least 50 per cent marks overall and in English. Additionally, candidates must be between 17.5 and 21 years old, meaning they should have been born between July 2, 2005, and January 2, 2009 (both dates inclusive).
“Candidates eligible for Science Subjects examination are also eligible for “Other than Science Subjects” and can opt to appear for both in one sitting. Exact aggregate percentage before decimal as written on the marksheet will be considered,” mentioned the notice.
Domicile category
Candidates must choose one domicile category (Permanent Domicile, COAFP-I, or COAFP-II) and declare it in the online application, uploading the relevant certificate. The chosen domicile category cannot be changed later. For medical standards, candidates must visit the notification and read it thoroughly.

IAF Agniveer Vayu Recruitment 2025: Application process
Step 1: Students have to fill in the application form by logging on to agnipathvayu.cdac.in.
Step 2: Mention details and add all documents. Candidates should apply only once. Multiple applications from a single candidate will lead to rejection of all applications except one, and fees for extra applications will not be refunded. Additionally, the data entered during registration will be final, and no changes will be permitted later.
Step 3: Candidates must indicate five choices of examination centres for Phase I. However, CASB reserves the right to allot any centre. Requests for a change of examination centre or date will not be entertained.
Step 4: An examination fee of Rs 550 plus GST is to be paid online by the candidate during registration. The payment can be made using Debit Cards/Credit Cards/Internet Banking through the payment gateway.

IAF Agniveer Vayu Recruitment 2025: Selection Process
The selection process for Agniveervayu involves multiple phases:
Phase one consists of an online test (STAR). The admit cards will be sent to registered email IDs 48-72 hours before the exam. The duration of the exam will be 60 minutes with objective-type questions. One mark for every correct answer will be awarded, nil for unattempted questions, and 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer.
There will be normalization of the scores. Candidates must qualify in each paper individually in Science subjects and other than science subjects with normalised marks.
The Phase-II includes Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Adaptability tests

Physical Fitness Test (PFT) consists of PFT-I and PFT-II. Candidates have to bring sports shoes and shorts/track pants. In the PFT-I (Run), candidates have to run 1.6 km within seven minutes for male candidates and eight minutes for female candidates. While the PFT-II will have exercises.
In the Adaptability Test-I, an objective type written test is given to candidates to assess suitability for employment in the Indian Air Force’s varied geographic terrain, weather, and operational conditions, on the other hand in test II, they are assessed to adapt to the Indian Air Force environment and military way of life. The final phase is medical examination.
Once the process is completed, a provisional select list state-wise will be prepared and displayed on agnipathvayu.cdac.in and at ASCs. The final list of candidates called for enrolment will be published on June 1, 2026.
