Actor couple Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan are working parents, but they make sure to be present at home as much as possible. Kareena has previously spoken about the challenges of balancing career and motherhood. In a recent interview, she once again opened up about her parenting journey with Saif, sharing that sons Taimur Ali Khan and Jeh Ali Khan love being around their dad, who happily spoils them.
During a conversation with Vicky Kaushal for The Hollywood Reporter India’s YouTube channel, Kareena said, “They love it when Saif is there, because Saif is such a lovely father, and he is a hands-on father. Also, they get extra TV time when he is around. My elder one loves to play guitar and drums with Saif. When I am not around, they always get extra TV time. The father always spoils them; otherwise, I am always like ‘Go to bed.’”
Vicky further asked how she manages the kids and work. To this, she replied, “It gets tough. This year, Saif went out and shot for two films, so they were used to Mumma being home. Now, if I go to shoot-like for a couple of days, when I’m shooting for ads, 10-15 days a month-they’re constantly irritated. They’re always like, ‘Where is Amma?”
Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan fell in love on the sets of Tashan in 2008 and tied the knot in 2012. They welcomed Taimur Ali Khan in 2016 and Jehangir Ali Khan in 2021.
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Kareena Kapoor Khan will next share screen space with Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran in Daayra. Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the film is currently in the pre-production stage. On the other hand, Saif Ali Khan was last seen in the Netflix release Jewel Thief.
