
June 9, New Delhi, India: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) stated that trains approaching the Trilokpuri Sanjay Lake metro station (Pink Line) were traveling at a restricted speed of 25 km/hr instead of the usual 40 km/hr after a fire was reported there on Monday.
In a series of X posts, DMRC said, тАЬTrain services on Line-7 (Pink Line i.e. Majlis Park to Shiv Vihar), are being regulated on a small strech since 11:20 AM today due to smoke being detected in one of the technical rooms at Trilok Puri-Sanjay Lake Metro station.тАЭ
тАЬTrain services on the rest of the Pink Line are running normal. Centralised announcements are being made at frequent intervals on station premises and inside trains to inform the passengers. Smoke has been dissipated with help of Delhi fire service personnel as of now and efforts are on to restore the signalling/AFC in the affected section,тАЭ the DMRC added.
With the assistance of Delhi fire department personnel, the smoke has currently dissipated, and work are underway to restore signaling and AFC in the impacted area, according to Anuj Dayal, Principal Executive Director Corporate Communications DMRC.

Four firefighters arrived to the scene, according to the report, and efforts are being made to put out the fire. So far, no casualties have been recorded.
