Priyanka Chopra urges fans to verify online content for credibility.
Priyanka Chopra has clarified that a viral statement, which is being attributed to her name, was not made by her. On Thursday, the global icon took to her Instagram stories and shared a post that claimed Priyanka Chopra has allegedly asked men not to look for “virgin wives”. “Don’t look for a virgin as a wife. Get a woman with good manners. Virginity ends in one night but manners last forever,” the post quoted PeeCee as saying.
However, Priyanka clarified that the viral post is fake. She revealed that she never made such a statement and urged everyone not to believe everything they read or watch online. “This is not me, my quote or my voice. Just because it is online, does not make it true. Creating fake content is now an easy way to achieve virality. None of the links or sources attached to this claim, or many others online, are real or credible. Take a minute to cross-check such content and don’t believe everything you scroll past. Stay safe online,” she wrote.
Soon after Priyanka Chopra busted the fake statement, her fans rushed to their respective X handles and praised the star. “Finally. It was long overdue 👏🏻 #PriyankaChopra,” one of the users wrote.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Priyanka is currently promoting her upcoming film Heads of State, an action-comedy that stars Hollywood biggies like John Cena, Idris Elba, Jack Quaid, and more. Directed by Ilya Naishuller, the film follows the U.S. President and the U.K. Prime Minister as they unite to battle a global conspiracy. Priyanka plays a key MI6 agent who joins them in their mission.
Bollywood fans are eagerly waiting for updates on the much-anticipated project Jee Le Zaraa, starring Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt. However, the film’s production status remains unclear.
