Hombale Films and Kleem Productions announced the Mahavatar Cinematic Universe, featuring animated films on Lord Vishnu’s avatars, releasing from 2025 to 2037.
Hombale Films expands with Mahavatar Universe.
Hombale Films is taking a massive leap into the world of mythology and animation with the launch of the Mahavatar Cinematic Universe, a decade-spanning animated saga that will bring to life the ten avatars of Lord Vishnu. The big reveal came on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, when the studio dropped the official release slate on social media.
The ambitious project will begin with Mahavatar Narsimha in 2025 and wrap up with Mahavatar Kalki Part 2 in 2037. Each film in the lineup will explore a different avatar, combining stunning animation with deep-rooted Indian spiritual themes.

We’re thrilled to unveil our lineup, spanning over a decade, featuring the ten divine avatars of Lord Vishnu.”
Director Ashwin Kumar, who will helm the first installment, said, “We here at Kleem Productions, along with the powerhouse Hombale Films, are excited to bring the heritage of Bharat to the big screen in a never-before-experienced cinematic scale. The transcendental experience begins through the MAHAVATAR universe of Dasha Avatar… Now Bharat will Roar!”

Beyond the big screen, the Mahavatar universe is also set to expand into comics, video games, collectibles, and digital platforms to create a multi-platform cultural experience.
Directed by Ashwin Kumar and produced by Shilpaa Dhawan, Kushal Desai, and Chaitanya Desai under Kleem Productions, Mahavatar Narsimha will release in 3D and in five Indian languages on July 25, 2025.
