Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor is all set to celebrate her 39th birthday on June 9, that is, tomorrow. On Sunday night, the actress’ Veere Di Wedding co-star Kareena Kapoor Khan arrived for Sonam’s birthday bash. She was accompanied by her hubby Saif Ali Khan. Looks like the birthday celebration has begun a night before, and will continue into midnight and beyond! Kareena and Sonam share a great bond, having worked together in the 2018 film ‘Veere Di Wedding’, directed by Shashanka Ghosh. Meanwhile, Janhvi Kapoor was also spotted by the paparazzi as she arrived to celebrate her cousin Sonam’s birthday.
A video shared by paparazzo Viral Bhayani shows Bollywood’s power couple Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan arriving for Sonam’s birthday bash. They exuded elegance in stunning outfits. While Saif did not pose for the paparazzi pictures, Kareena quickly waved at the paps before heading inside for the party. As usual, she looked stunning in a yellow breezy floor-length dress with a black belt. Meanwhile, Janhvi Kapoor was also clicked as she graced the birthday bash. Meanwhile, fans have eagerly been waiting for any updates about Veere Di Wedding 2. In 2023, producer Rhea Kapoor confirmed she is working on the sequel to the 2018 film starring Kareena, Sonam, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania.
Rhea told News18, “I’m working on Veere Di Wedding 2. It will be very different, it’s not going to be what anybody expects. I didn’t want to do it until I knew that it would be better than the first one and I knew that it was going to be hard because Veere Di Wedding is my everything. It’s such an important film for me. I love that film and very attached to it. I didn’t want to do it if I didn’t get the same amount of joy I did from making the first one. So, yes, Veere Di Wedding 2 is in the works.”
