The iconic trio of Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, and Suniel Shetty is officially reuniting for Hera Pheri 3, and fans of the cult comedy franchise couldn’t be more thrilled. Directed by Priyadarshan, the film has finally cleared all hurdles and is set to go on floors soon. Amid growing excitement, Suniel Shetty has now offered insights into the film’s tone, assuring fans that it stays true to the franchise’s roots.
In a recent interview shared by Sai Safar YouTube channel during his visit to Shirdi Sai Baba, Shetty opened up about what makes Hera Pheri 3 special. He described the movie as a wholesome family entertainer and emphasised that it’s a film one can watch without any discomfort.
“Ye family ki film hai. Shayad wo ek film jahaan aap sab milke ek saath dekh sakte ho. Agar ek baar aap TV chaalu kar dete ho to uske baad aapko tension lene ki zarurat nahi hai, sharmaane ki zarurat nahi hai. Aapko pata hai ki log sirf hasne hi hasne waale hain. Chhup ke TV ya mobile phone dekhne ki zarurat nahi hai. Parivaar se chhupa ke nahi,” Shetty said. (This is a family film. Perhaps the kind you can all watch together. Once you switch on the TV, there’s no need to worry or feel awkward. You know people are only going to laugh. There’s no need to watch it in secret on TV or mobile. Not something to hide from the family.)
He further added, “Waisi hi filmein hum banate hain. Hum waisi filmein karte aaye hain jo hum chaahe ki parivar dekhe. Aur ye Hera Pheri bhi waise hi hogi.” (These are the kinds of films we make. We’ve always made the kind of films we want families to watch. And this Hera Pheri will be just like that.)
This comes after a turbulent phase when Paresh Rawal briefly exited the film in May 2025 due to reported differences. Thankfully, all issues have been resolved, and Rawal is officially back as Babu Bhaiya. With the original trio locked in, expectations for Hera Pheri 3 are understandably sky-high.
