A video shot inside an opulent mansion in Indore has taken social media by storm, and for good reason. The home, dripping in gold from floor to ceiling, features everything from gilded furniture to 24-carat gold-plated electrical sockets. With over 1 crore views, the video, shared by Instagram content creator Priyam Saraswat, has left netizens both dazzled and baffled.
Saraswat, who has built a following by showcasing the most extravagant and unusual homes, begins his latest tour by seeking permission from the homeowners – a couple whose quiet demeanour contrasts sharply with the flamboyance of their residence. As the gates open, viewers are first met not by interiors, but by an elite convoy of luxury cars. The star of the fleet? A 1936 vintage Mercedes, which the homeowner proudly calls the “real gold”.
Inside, the house was no less jaw-dropping. Chandeliers shimmered with golden detailing, walls gleam with metallic luster, and yes, even the switchboards were 24-carat gold. “I see a lot of gold,” Saraswat remarked in disbelief. To which the owner replied with a smile, “This is all real. 24-carat. We’ve used it in every corner, from decor to sockets.”

The couple then revealed that the mansion boasts 10 bedrooms, a private cowshed, and is surrounded by manicured lawns. When asked about their journey, the homeowner shares an inspiring story of transformation – from hardship to extravagance.
“We were 25 people in the family living off one petrol pump,” he recalled, saying that survival was hard, so he started government contracting. Today, he builds roads, bridges, and buildings. “We are also working on a 300-room hotel,” he said.
The extravagant video, shared on Saraswat’s Instagram handle, @priyamsaraswat, has not only sparked awe but also a flurry of online comments. One viewer joked, “Imagine living in a house where even the switchboards are gold,” while anothe quipped, “Looks straight out of a movie set.” Some, however, raised concerns on the house’s security.
