Parenting is often called a 24/7 job, demanding constant attention, responsibility, and care for a child’s safety, no matter the hour. In today’s social media-driven world, some parents seem more focused on capturing content than protecting their children. A recent viral video has raised questions about responsible parenting after a shocking scene unfolded on Instagram.
The video shows a large lizard crawling around a toddler who is lying in a baby stroller, completely unaware of the reptile’s presence. The lizard had entered the pram and couldn’t find a way out. What startled many viewers wasn’t just the presence of the reptile, but the parents’ reaction. Instead of rushing to protect the child, the parents remained unusually calm. The father is seen laughing and trying to catch the lizard—unsuccessfully—while the mother continues filming. Each failed attempt is met with more laughter from the couple, raising serious concerns about their priorities and the risks they were willing to take for views and entertainment.
In no time, the post went viral on social media, prompting several reactions from the viewers, with many expressing their outrage over the parents for their carelessness. An Instagram user commented, “Why he is not picking him up ??? This should be the first intuition.” Another one wrote, “So careless parents.” One of them shared, “All I can see is Dad did nothing.”
A person wrote, “Oh please pick up the baby from the stroller, it might bite the baby.” “I think I missed the part where the dad saves the day,” a user shared.
“Inefficient dad miles,” a comment reads. Another one read, “Unbuckle the baby for heaven’s sake.” One user wrote, “Lizard get inside the stall, Not Saving baby, Making it as a video.”
A user commented, “Baby knows, something is wrong.” One person penned, “Let it bite the baby. Video is more important.”
The clip has gathered more than 7 lakh views since it was shared on Instagram.
Another big example of ‘Bad Parenting’ recently grabbed the audience’s attention after a video of a man, reportedly the boy’s father, was seen forcing a young child to pose with a lion, raising concerns over both animal cruelty and responsible parenting.
