A shocking video by a mother from the United States has sparked intense debate on social media after she revealed she kicked out her 9-year-old daughter from the house, claiming her behaviour had become “dangerous” for the family. The woman, known online by her TikTok handle @meggles2446, faced severe backlash for her admission, with many branding her a “Kaliyug mother”, a term denoting moral decay and parental failure.
In a now-viral clip, the mother, identified only as Meggles, described years of disturbing and violent behaviour by her daughter, which allegedly escalated to life-threatening levels. “She came behind my seat and covered my eyes while I was driving. I had to remove her hand while trying to stay on the road,” she recounted, suggesting that her daughter’s actions could have caused a fatal accident.
According to Meggles, her daughter’s conduct had been difficult for years, but things took a frightening turn as she began targeting her younger siblings and even the family pet. “She dropped her 3-month-old brother from a swing. Another time, she threw a candle at his head and he needed stitches,” the mother said.
She also cited incidents where the child allegedly hit her sister with a baseball bat, attacked her cousin with a shoe, and hurled a dog crate, while the puppy was still inside, across the room.
Meggles claimed she tried everything to help and discipline her child, including strict parenting methods. Children under 10 can still be molded, but nothing worked, she said, adding that her daughter’s behaviour only worsened with punishment.
While some online users sympathised with the mother and urged compassion for families grappling with serious behavioural disorders in children, the overwhelming reaction was one of condemnation. Many accused her of abandoning a vulnerable child who clearly needed professional help.
“This is not parenting, this is negligence,” one user commented. Others called her a symbol of “Kaliyug“, a reference to the age of declining morality.
The case has reignited discussions around parenting boundaries, mental health support for children, and what society deems an acceptable response to extreme behaviour. Experts warn that while some cases may warrant temporary separation for safety, abandoning a minor child, especially without mental health intervention, can lead to serious consequences for both the child and the family.
